I don’t have any good before photos of #ProjectSummerhill to share yet, because I took them when it was dark and they are embarrassingly grainy, but I shared a progress shot on Instagram last week (of the lights we installed) if you want to check that out. This is a small project since the condo is fully furnished already, I’m just “un-beige-ing” it – styling, pillows, art, accessories. Making it feel more homey and lived in and more suited to my clients style (she moved in 2 years ago and hasn’t touched it since). Here is the general direction we’re heading in art wise (although only numbers 2 and 3 are finalized at this point). Note: these pieces will not be displayed on a gallery wall… they are all being hung in different rooms, but i’ve boxed the “sets” together to help you visualize.
The only real splurge in the above collection are the Jenna Snyder-Phillip prints. I was able to find inexpensive frames at Target and will likely have custom mats made for a more high-end look and to protect the art.
I love inexpensive art because I find it’s one of the first things I get sick of when it comes to interiors (along with pillows). Changing up your art is such a quick and easy way to completely transform a room.
QUICK TIP: that is why i love picture ledges – you can layer and change your art as much as you want and never have to worry about holes in the wall!
