Project Snowdon has a blue colour scheme coming into play and I’m loving it. My original plan was (obviously) black, white and grey, but the more I got to know this fun and colourful couple, the more I realized they weren’t going to feel at home in the safe neutral house they had originally asked for. I needed to add colour and it all started with a beautiful rug in the den (which I will share soon enough) and their surprising agreement on my crazy idea for a royal blue velvet tufted headboard and brass accents in the master — #dreamclient. Here is where we’re at with said master bedroom:
It’s a little bit mid-century a little bit rustic and a whole lot of cozy. Some decisions are still up in the air and I will share full details once more progress has been made. The headboard is custom, I’ll be DIY-ing art (inspired by that beautiful piece that is unfortunately way over our budget – even with my designer discount), we are finalizing the built-in finishes today (for the wall opposite the bed) and I’m still pricing out different fabric options for drapes, euro pillows, a DIY bench for the end of the bed, etc. Here is a before photo of the bedroom so you can wrap your head around what I’m even talking about:
And there you have it, folks. The Project Snowdon master bedroom.
